Patrick's Commissioning Ceremony

Patrick had his commissioning ceremony for the Marine Corps in February and the kids and I made the trip to Atlanta to be there.  I really wasn't supposed to be traveling that far because I was past the 32 week mark, but this only happens once and I really wanted to be there to support Patrick.  We were hoping to have the ceremony outside but it started getting dark so we moved it inside the house.  It was really special.  I'm so proud of Patrick and the leader that he is and will become with the Marines.  I pray that God would bless him and those that surround him in the Marine Corps.  He will go to the Basic School this November to start his career.

House Remodel

New floors, new floors.  You may remember the damage we had from the flash flood back in 2012.  It ruined the floors in the kitchen and dining room so Henry had them replaced this year.  It started with the kitchen and then the office, dining room, and living room.  It was crazy having the house in chaos but the kids enjoyed having a picnic dinner in their room.  I'm really thankful for the McSwains who took Mac for a few days so he would be out of the house and not in the way of the workers. The house looks great!

Mac

Sweet Buddy.  Mac continues to brighten our days by being the cutest thing ever.  Seriously.  He has such a fun loving, sweet personality.  He loves to say "teese" (please) and "tank to" (thank you) to everyone and will yell it out over and over to people at restaurants or just in passing.  He LOVES his sissy and will walk around the house saying "sissy" when she is at school or taking a nap because he just wants to play with her. He loves his "choo choos" and eating.  Every morning it makes me smile when I ask him if he wants breakfast and he says "yea" and takes off running to his high chair.  He loves to run and it's pretty cute with his short little legs.

He is a little more independent than Madison Claire and will entertain himself for quite a while.  He likes to have a dance party to music and loves to laugh.  He sleeps great and is so easy to put down!  He likes to read Goodnight Moon, the Runaway Bunny, and With us on the Land.    He is attached to his "pappy" (pacifier) and "moneys" (bunnys).

Here are some random pictures of the sweet little guy.  We LOVE our Mac!

He loves his lamb from Nana & Papa

Not sure what to do with this new found freedom during nap time

And...FAIL.  This was Night #3.

He LOVES sissy's car

He can get frustrated too!  He's not always all smiles.

I came home to find this one day!  He's comfortable with his masculinity!

He LOVES his Annie

And climbing - we had to put child locks on the dresser after this incident where he decided he needed to climb to the top to change his diaper.  There was poop everywhere!
