More Snow!

We are officially snowed in! Here's a glimpse of what it looks like outside...isn't it beautiful!

I tried another attempt at getting Madison Claire's picture out in the snow and it didn't go so well. She must have remembered the torture from yesterday because as soon as I tried to put her down in the snow she started crying and reaching up to me. She still looked so cute bundled up that I couldn't resist posting a few of these.

SNOW!!

We had a lot of snow in Nashville today! I think it is around 5 or 6 inches and it's still snowing! Madison Claire still isn't feeling that great but I couldn't pass up a good picture in the snow. We bundled her up and out we went. This is the first picture of putting her down in the snow:

She was pretty happy while she was sitting up but then when she leaned forward to crawl and her hands got in the snow she got really upset! I'm sure her little hands were freezing!!

Here she is before we go inside...screaming...as if she was saying "I like the beach, not the snow"! I wanted to try again with some mittens on her hands, but I couldn't find the one pair that I have, so I put some socks on her hands instead! Here we are for Round 2:

Hopefully next year she'll be able to enjoy the snow a little more!

Getting into Mommy's purse

Stomach bug - oh no!

The stomach bug hit our house this week and it was a bad one. Tuesday afternoon Madison Claire threw-up around 1pm. I've never seen so much come out of such a little body. I swear it looked like she threw up 4 cups at once. She was so scared - her eyes got so big. Annie and I both kind of froze. I was in the middle of a work call but was in the kitchen so I saw it all happening. I quickly ended my call and we got her cleaned up. After that she was the happiest little baby on the block!

Wednesday afternoon I started feeling bad and that night it really hit. I was up all night and still didn't feel good on Thursday morning. Annie got it on Wednesday night too so she and I were both in bad shape on Thursday. Luckily, Ryan was able to stay home for most of the day to help with Madison Claire so I could rest. He started feeling bad Thursday afternoon and went downhill on Thursday night.

At the end of the day, Ryan lost 7 pounds, I lost 3 pounds, and Madison Claire lost at least 1 if not more. Rough week! Our drink of choice (for the whole family) was lemon lime gatorade...

Cutie-pie

Washa Washa

Madison Claire's favorite thing to do these days is wash her hands. If you say to her "Washa Washa" she'll get a big smile and start rubbing her hands together...so cute!

Big Girl!

Madison Claire is looking so big to us lately! Like she grew up overnight!

Baby-proofed!

We had our house "Baby-proofed" earlier this week and Madison Claire isn't quite sure what to think about it. I think she thinks she is stuck in jail!

Hair

Madison Claire's hair is growing! Here are a few pics of it:

Remembering freshman year...

So...my freshman year of college there was a group of 4 of us that were inseperable - me, Ashley Stiernagle, Ibby Nasmyth & Justin Kearse. I haven't seen Justin since he came to our wedding over 5 years ago but we've kept in touch via Facebook and he happened to be in town today for interviews so he stopped by to say hello. It was like Deja-Vu....Justin looked exactly the same! It was so great to see him and catch up. Pray for him in his search for a fellowship - his match day is May 19th.

Walking with the Train

Madison Claire is walking around the house with all sorts of support - holding your hands, your legs, and her favorite these days = her Alphabet Train! We brought it downstairs a week ago and let her walk around on the hardwood floors. Check out this cute little video with it...precious!!!

*****The first video wasn't working online for some reason so I posted it again. Try the one on the bottom!

Little Beaver

While I was gone in Dallas, Madison Claire was EATING her bed!! Take a look...

DALLAS!

I took some time off last week to go down to Dallas and visit my new BABIES!!! I got in on Friday afternoon and stayed with Ash on Friday & Saturday. We had so much fun together! Ellie was precious...I can't believe she is so big! I feel like it was just yesterday that she was the same size as Baby Wes! Wes was adorable...he is a chunky monkey...they call him "Moose"! He is 5 weeks old and already 13 pounders! I wish that he could share some of that with Madison Claire. I miss them already!

Sunday morning I went over to Jaime & Zach's to meet sweet little Grace...or as I called her "Gracie"! She was absolutely beautiful and the cutest little bitty punkin you ever did see! Grace was 7 weeks old and only a little over 8 pounds. She was SO tiny!!! She was wearing Madison Claire's pants that Kate gave her and it was so crazy because I can remember Madison Claire wearing those pants but I can't ever remember her being that small!

I got to see the whole Williams clan at a "24" party on Sunday night! Aunt Debbie & Uncle Dave were so cute with little Grace.

I had such a great time visiting my little babies in Texas! I did one night feeding for Wes & 2 for Grace...I forgot how hard it was!! I was super excited to get home to Ryan and Madison Claire!!!

Praise Baby

It was (is) important to Ryan that Madison Claire doesn't watch TV so we've made a concerted effort to not let her be in front of the TV. Madison Claire got a Praise Baby DVD for Christmas (that you Maribeth & Lance!) so Annie and I put it in and she was mesmerized!! She sat on the floor or on our lap for the entire time and just watched and smiled and laughed and clapped. It was ADORABLE!! I did fess up to Ryan when he got home!

Happy 50th Craig!!

We had fun celebrating Craig's 50th birthday with our small group friends and some others! It was a surprise party coordinated by Zan and we had a great time toasting & roasting 50 years of Craig Nevels! We are so grateful for the friendships we've formed through our community group at Cumberland. We are joining a new group this year but will carry the friendships from our first group for life! They are the best!!!
