Ellie & Wes

Since Ashley & Chris moved to Chicago in January, I've been able to see them 3 times!  It's so great being able to see them more frequently, even if it does mean very early mornings for me to catch the 6am train into the city with Chris!  One of the best parts about seeing them so much is that Ellie & Wes have gotten comfortable with me and are so happy to see me.  It totally makes my day!  The last time I was there, Wes was in the back seat saying "Hi Wo" (for "Hi Lo") and Ellie was saying, "Auntie Lo!, Auntie Lo!". ADORABLENESS!

Mac's first haircut

Mac's hair was getting a little long around the sides and back and Ryan started threatening to buzz it, so Annie and I took control and decided to trim it ourselves one day! I would never trust myself with a pair of scissors, but Annie trims her bangs all of the time so she is a semi pro. We put him in the high chair and started trimming! He was a trooper - although I'm still not sure he really knew what was going on :)

Children's Museum

We met up with one of my old friends from high school, Jesse Maddox (now Jesse Farris) at the Childrens Museum.  It was so great to see her and catch up on life!  She was her same sweet self - some things never change!  Jesse and her husband, Nick, adopted a little girl from Ethiopia last year.  Her name is Rhet, and she is adorable!   We had a great time playing in the different areas of the museum.  Buddy was scared to death of the Fed-ex plane area. They have a miniature plane that you can fly with controls and the fans make a really loud noise.  Whenever it would start - he would start shaking and crying.  He doesn't really like loud noises :(.
I love this picture becaues you can totally get the idea of Madison Claire dancing away!

Oh no - buddy is caught by the police!

The whole crew

We just found out that Jesse & Nick joined the Germantown Athletic Club, so we are looking forward to seeing them more over the summer!

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter Sunday, complete with a great service at River City Church, lunch at J. Alexanders, and play time, egg hunt, and water gun fight in the front yard.  The kids were ADORABLE in their Sunday best and I just couldn't capture enough cute pictures - thanks for indulging me as I post most of them.  I just think they are the cutest :).

Thinking about how much I love our kids and then thinking of how I am a child of God and how He sent His only son to die to save me, is so overwhelming.   Having kids has taken my understanding of God's love for us to such a different level.  I'm thankful for the message of Easter...and grateful to have a risen Savior!!
